About Lesson
An inflammatory disease of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles of the skin characterized by comedones, papules, and pustules. It is also called acne vulgaris.
Acne can occur anywhere on the body, where sebaceous glands are present though mostly on the face. The condition occurs primarily during puberty and adolescence, due to an overactive pilo sebaceous apparatus, probably affected by hormonal activity.
